- Place the covered tabletop in an appropriate-sized telescoping box; it should exactly fit the glass top so there is no room for movement within the box (any shifting during transit can result in breakage). Your glass tables will be best protected throughout the relocation by the specialized box, which was made especially for moving mirrors, photographs, and other glass goods. To make a protective covering for your glass item, you may use corrugated cardboard if you can’t locate a suitable telescopic box or don’t want to pay extra money.
